    This forum

This forum is not very active is it? I see a few are leaving because of this and other reasons they have stated. I think people need to be respectful to one another and to the opinions of others on things and it would go a lot smoother. I am sure you have something to talk about.. there are many different sub- forums to spark ideas. Everyone needs to do their part and it could flourish. Does no one ever debate on her in a civil manner in between sports? I think it is a bummer that a poster cannot interacy in the political/religiious forum without having 1000 posts. What kind of rule is that and why?

Because those subjects are very touchy subjects, and in the past, those who could not control themselves abused those 2 forums. This forum is not a right, it is an opportunity. To get on those 2 subforums, you must act decent on the main boards before getting access to those subforums.

I think its a matter of acting decent and showing that you have some common sense. Aggravating the snot out of people with questions and answering questions with a question isn't going to help anything. Sure I may be on the political and religion forum but I still have yet to get on the Old Timers Board, ya know why? I still haven't pulled my time. You have to earn the right and do the time. It's not like they are just going to let some yahoo that has 2 posts come on here and get on all of the other forums just to raise cain and then they gotta spend their time giving you a few warnings, then deleting your posts, and then eventually kicking you off here just so you go to yahoo and make another email address and come back the next day and try to start this stuff all over again. Give it a break, do your time, earn the right, prove yourself, and then you get on the boards you want. I may be wrong about these things but its the way I see it.

Not in previous incarnations. Yes it is an opportunity to discuss things, but does not guarantee you the right to every section of the board. Earn your way into the other groups first. Don't complain, just bide you time.

You are being silly now. I have just never seen a forum of any kind put regulations on sub-forums.

You haven't been on many forums then.

    Re: This forum

Then you've not been on very many forums. I've been on dozens upon dozens upon dozens of forums and they all have rules. And those rules are made by the ones in charge. Why are they in charge? They pay for the forum. That gives them the right to run their forum as they see fit. If the users don't like it then tuff titty. I've been a mod, a super mod, and even a master mod on other forums so I have been on both sides of the equation and can completely understand what's going on. If a user doesn't like a mod or the rules then leave. Go set up your own forum and make your own rules. Just have enough respect to leave the ones in charge here alone and do their own thing. Don't question everything they do in open forum. I've been on lots of forums that banned tons of peeps for that on the first offense. And really, it's like athletics. Practice hard and follow the rules and eventually coach will put you in. It's that simple.

not really much wrong with the people here, my problem with this forum is that when i type in a response i dont know if it will post or not, half the time i get logged out when i thank or post and that is just aggravating as hell. when hostboard doesnt suck, ill be back. the software change absolutely killed this place. then a few mods who made it a point to make everything hard on posters helped a bit. itll get fixed eventually, it always does.

If you have problems with rules here try posting on the S&W forums, you have to have permission froma mod to post a link due to copyright laws, there is no cussing, no heated debates allowed, no political talk in the open forums, you have to earn the right to post in the classifieds/dark rooms. its a great forum though, ran with a lot of pride and respect, one of the very few forums I would ever donate to.
Cant we all just get along?
